Specialist Groups

Geological Curators' Group's purpose is to improve the state and status of geological collections and curation. We do this through meetings, training, conferences, and publications.  GCG was founded in 1974, has an international membership and is affiliated to the Geological Society of London. See also: GCG committee and contacts and the GCG constitution.
The Linnean Society of London is the world's oldest society for the study and dissemination of taxonomy and natural history. A living forum for biology, it promotes the study of the natural world and all its branches. The Linnean Society publishes zoological, botanical and biological journals and organises regular events for the public and society fellows alike.
The Linnean Society, founded in 1788, took its name from the Swedish naturalist Carl Linnaeus and is based at Burlington House, Piccadilly, London where it houses its world renowned collection of specimens, art and scientific literature.

The Natural Sciences Collections Association (NatSCA) is a UK based membership organisation and charity run by volunteers from the membership.
NatSCA's mission is to promote and support natural science collections, the institutions that house them and the people that work with them, in order to improve collections care, understanding, accessibility and enjoyment for all.
